Enjoy sewing? Uninspired by the choice of patterns available?

Come to this pattern cutting intensive workshop for a kick start into learning the skills to make patterns to your own measurements and designs. This one-day workshop will teach you how to draft a basic skirt to your own measurements using flat pattern cutting techniques in a relaxed studio environment. Previous students and those who have already drafted a skirt block are also welcome and will work on trousers. The class size is limited to 4 people so you will have plenty of support and help.

This class if for anyone who has used dressmaking patterns and is interested in designing their own clothes.You will get the most out of the day if you can do the following:

Use a sewing machine

Have used a commercial dressmaking pattern

Basic arithmetic with or without a calculator.

What  will I be able to do by the end of the workshop?

Take an accurate set of body measurements

Draft a skirt (or trouser) block to your own measurements

Make a calico toile (prototype garment).
